Who Should Avoid Revanesse® Injections?

While Revanesse® dermal fillers are safe for many, there are specific situations where treatment isn’t recommended. You should not receive these injections if you:

Are pregnant or breastfeeding: The safety of these fillers during pregnancy or while nursing hasn’t been established.

Have a history of hypertrophic scarring or keloid formation: This increases the risk of scar tissue developing at the treatment site.

Have acne or skin conditions such as rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, or psoriasis at or near the injection site.

Have certain allergies, including:

Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis).
Allergy to hyaluronic acid, lidocaine, or Streptococcal proteins.
Atopy (heightened immune response to allergens).

Are under 22 years old: Revanesse® fillers are not approved for patients younger than 22.

Have active skin infections, wounds, or unhealed skin around the treatment area.

Are undergoing certain medical treatments, like anticoagulant or antiplatelet therapy, or have bleeding disorders (e.g., hemophilia), or connective tissue disorders (e.g., lupus).

It’s also important to avoid using Revanesse® fillers in combination with other cosmetic treatments, such as lasers, chemical peels, dermabrasion, or certain over-the-counter wrinkle products, within four weeks prior to your filler treatment, as this could increase the risk of inflammation or infection.
