Botox Cosmetic is an injection that helps to relax muscles that have become overactive over time. When facials muscles become too strong, they injure the skin by overreacting and thus creasing the skin. Botox Cosmetic relaxes those muscles back to a more natural state, creating a better balance with the surrounding muscles.

What is Botox Cosmetic?
Botox Cosmetic consists of the protein Botulinum Toxin A, made by Allergan, a world leader in prescription cosmetic medicines including Botox Cosmetic and Juvederm. Botox Cosmetic is FDA approved to reduce the appearance of glabellar lines (frown lines between the eyebrows), and has also been used successfully to treat forehead lines, crows feet, blepharospasms (excessive blinking), hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating in the underarms, hands, and feet), migraine headaches, and other physical ailments.
How does Botox Cosmetic Work?
When injected into the muscle or tissue, Botox works by prohibiting the nerves from telling the muscles to contract or the sweat glands to produce sweat. This causes wrinkle and frown lines to relax and soften.
How will I look post treatment?
Directly after the treatment, you will notice some initial redness and swelling in the treated area that will subside within an hour. Within 3-5 days, you will start to notice a more rested appearance, however, the treatment will only have settled and look its’ best after 2 weeks of getting initial treatment. Contrary to popular belief, you can have a full range of facial expressions with Botox Cosmetic treatments.
Post-procedure instructions:
Remain upright for 4 hours. Keep your head and neck straight, and avoid touching areas that have received treatment.
How long does Botox Cosmetic Last?
